Grout Systems was contracted to install 70 – 16” dia. Auger Cast Piles each 100’ deep for an aggregate length of 7,000 LF. Due to FAA height restrictions, the piling rig could not be erected higher than 70’ from grounds surface elevation to the tip of the crane boom. This Low Headroom condition presented difficulty during installation. The lead bit was advanced and three additional sections of auger were added to achieve the required pile tip elevation. The sections were then removed in the same manner during the pile pumping process.
